Happy Easter

This is a few days late, but oh well. I love Easter time! On Friday Van and I went to a friend's home for a toddler creativity day. It was Van's first time dying eggs. He was having so much fun exploring the house that it took a lot of persuasion from mom to get him to the table to work on the eggs. Once there, he had a blast taking eggs and plopping them into the dye cups. He wasn't terribly gentile with the eggs, so most of them cracked. He loved it and wanted more and more eggs. I have to say that I was quite impressed with how well they turned out. Thanks for the invite Skye, we had a great time!

On Saturday Grandma Jones came up to join us for the day, it was a lot of fun. She brought us an Easter basket and Van got a cute stuffed bunny. We were able to go to our wards Easter Egg Hunt at the Primary President's awesome 1 acre spread. Van had such a good time running around the huge yard searching for eggs. We took video, it's a bit long but here it is:

Sunday we had an excellent time at church. We enjoyed a wonderful Sacrament Meeting filled with the spirit. I am truly grateful for the true meaning of Easter. I am grateful for my Savior, that he atoned for all of our sins, He was Resurrected and made it possible for us to live again with our Father in Heaven. I love this holiday and look forward to our children feeling this same gratitude.

During our Family Home Evening on Monday night, we watched a church video on the Resurrection. Van was very interested and wanted to watch more about GiGi (translation: Jesus). We are working on the basics with him and this was a perfect time.

Kaite, I loved watching this. You are so cute all Prego...congratulations and I can't wait to hear the news of baby's birthday. I loved seeing your mom and hearing her laugh. How is she doing? How is Shawna? Tell them hi! I'm so glad we found each other. Ü
