From today

I had taken some pics from my phone and thought I would share.

First is Weston.
He is growing up so much. He's totally a little tough guy and is able to keep up with Van pretty well (especially since Van doesn't have much weight on him). His latest thing is throwing balls (in which we have tons). He's got good aim and a good arm: scary! A few days ago he threw balled up socks to me, which hit me right in the face, hard too! Then several minutes later he found them on the floor again and took aim to toss/throw them to me. In mid throw they fell out of his hand and on to the floor. Derek was watching and started to laugh because I totally flinched.

He is very independent and asserting himself a lot: "No!, I do it!" However, he will also add, "will you hewlp me pweese?"
He is super curious about everything and will ask "what doing mama?"
He is such a character and loves to make silly faces.
He likes to see what he can get away with, but he is quick to say "sowwy" when he goes too far.

I've realized recently that he is a lot like I was when I was little: loud and outgoing at home, but in public tight lipped and clingy (making it hard to show off his brilliance).

What under 2 year old know, "Wook Mama (pointing), 's that your painting?" He's been super interested in all of my paintings lately.

Next up is Van.
From posts before you may know we were having trouble with him listening. Some days are better than others, but overall we've seen huge improvement. Whenever he has a hard time listening, he is given options which will normally snap him out of it.

He's a good big brother and plays well with Weston (most of the time).

Van loves to tell stories now and loves when I make some up about him. I always start "Once upon a time, there was a boy"...and Van will add, "NAMED VAN!" It's super fun. He will also make up stories with his toys, which is super cute to find him doing.

He loves to sing and I will randomly catch him softly singing to himself. He knows tons of songs, some are from school and some are primary songs/other songs that we listen to. It's totally funny when he starts singing songs we listen to in the car.....

that cracks me up!
