In front of our apartment we have a planter bed island. Since we've had nice weather lately, the boys have been loving playing in it; they call it "the forest". We have some kid gardening tools that they use in the dirt. Van will tell me, "I have some work to do" and he takes the shovel or rake and goes into the trees. Fun summer days!

You are so lucky to have some sort of natural place for them to play.
If you saw where we are positioned you might not think we're so lucky. We are facing a major trafficy street, so the kids can't play unless we are willing to run around with them. We just have a bit of grass and this planter bed in front of us.
