Big Boy Bed

During the slow move over to our new place, we decided it was time for Van to get a big boy bed. He is only 20 months but we are wanting him to get used to it before a new baby comes and takes away his crib. I searched for weeks and weeks on Craigslist and when I had almost given up I found an amazing deal. A woman was selling her nice toddler bed, mattress, 3 sheets, and 2 comforters for only $25. We called her immediately and went that day to pick it up! Apparently this woman had found a bunk bed for her 2 girls and just wanted to get rid of her toddler stuff--score! On our way home we dropped it off at our new place and I went back to set it up.

The move was a perfect transition for Van to start sleeping in this new bed. He has done very well and slept through the night with no problems. The first few mornings, he would wake up crying, but lately he has been walking to his door and knocking on it to let us know he is up (he hasn't figured out how to open the round knob door handles yet). We are hoping that eventually he will wake up and start playing with his toys....hasn't happened yet, but who knows.
