Grandma's Car

Until about a month ago, Derek was driving a '92 Nissan Sentra (not too exciting). It was a great little car and the best part about it is that we bought it with only 25,000 miles on it! Yes, it is possible to find a jem like this one. We sold it with 31,000 miles and were able to make a profit of over $1,000. We were very excited. We really only sold it because it was a smaller 2 door and with the new baby on the way next year, we were going to need something different (there was no way 2 car seats would fit in the back). We've been slowly looking for a replacement when the deal of a lifetime presented itself. Derek's grandma, Lois, recently moved into a retirement facility and isn't able to drive anymore, so her car became available. Derek and I love her car! It's a 2002 Honda Accord EX with all the bells and whistles...leather seats-YES! Even when Grandma Lois had it she didn't drive very often, thus it has only 33,000 miles, about half of what it should have. We lucked out on price as well. It is just in our price range! Thanks Grandma!!!!
The best thing of all is that this car lives in Southern California. Derek's parents, who we don't see very often, have agreed to drive it up to us (as long as we will fly them back down--DEAL)! We are so excited that they will be coming up here to see us. To make it worth their time, we are having them come in mid January to be here for Van's 2nd birthday! This will also be the time that I will be able to get an ultrasound to find out what we're having! Things seem to be working out perfectly! What a blessing!
