Yesterday we were in the Tualatin Bridgeport shopping area and stopped by the performance bike shop. Derek has been in need of a new bike for a while...as his beach cruiser doesn't work so well in the hills. He's been using my bike which is fine since I'm pregnant and can't use it anyway, but mine is an XL frame and is a bit big for Derek. Anyways, back to the point, we shopped around and he found a perfect bike! We got a great deal, it was a 2 year old model, plus a guy from our ward is the manager there and I think he gave us a deal (thanks Devin!). On top of that Derek was able to sell the beach cruiser, so we ended up not spending very much at all...went from a $550 bike down to about $150 (not too shabby and WAY better than I was thinking). Derek has been acting like a kid with a new toy, in fact he is out riding it right now.

Nice ride! We wish we had bikes, but living here would mean it would get stolen since there isn't a place to keep it indoors.
So true! When we first moved to Eugene Derek's bike was stolen on the 2nd day--such a bummer. And it was locked up!
