We had a short run in with a raccoon a few nights ago. Derek had spilt some of Betty's dog food off the back porch, whoops. Perfect situation for a close encounter. I ran in and grabbed the video camera and Derek caught some footage. If you listen carefully, you can hear the nervousness in Derek's voice as it crept closer. Van on the other hand was quite excited to see this "a coon" as he kept calling it.

Last time my mom came to visit she saw a nutria! Crazy wildlife around us here :-).
