Christmas Mountain

On Black Friday, when most people are out scouting for the best deals on Christmas presents, we went to Christmas Mountain where we scouted for the best Christmas tree. "What?" you say. Yes, on the day after Thanksgiving, we went to get our Christmas tree. And yes, our Christmas decorations are already up. Scoff all you want.

Our friends Paul and Blythe had told us about Christmas Mountain last year and it sounded great. On the drive out, we were second guessing this place. It was pretty far. However, once we got there and experienced it, I think this place will definately be a yearly tradition.

You get to ride out on a covered trailer pulled by a tractor--Van thought this was awesome!
This was our driver, he was a fun guy.
Van climbing in.
Us enjoying our complimentary hot chocolate.
Weston looking unsure.
Van appears lost in thought. I believe he was just looking at the christmas lights hung on the roof of the trailer.
My sis, Shawna, was able to come with us.
Beautiful view from the trailer.
What a perfect day.
Van had fun looking at all of the trees.
The perfect tree; Derek cutting it down.
Derek holding his 'kill'.
Posing in front of the view.
Waiting for the trailer to pick us up.
Me and Wes
Beautiful sight.
Van decorating when we got home. Unfortunately the super fresh tree smell made my head hurt, so our tree is now sitting on our back porch to dry out and de-stink a bit. Now I'm glad we got our tree so early; it will have time to sit outside a week or so (to Think about what it's done--naughty tree--gave me a headache!).
