Fighting the Pudge

I have nothing to post about, so here is one about us being too fat.... :(

We've been doing Weight Watchers for i bit over 2 months now. Meaning we started in Nov--which seems crazy with all the sweets and treats around that time of year. That was kind of my reasoning for starting in Nov, I knew I needed to lose weight and didn't want to gain more before I started.

Derek and I have both lost 15 lbs. (through the holidays!!) which we are totally happy with. I'm not sure about Derek, but I need to lose about 40 more (yikes). I am posting this to re-energize myself into being more diligent to the program. It's all about counting points and writing it down (...and exercising). Lately I have found myself to be lazy and not write things down, just guesstimate (doesn't work that way).

I think I should give myself a short term goal, which will be this: to lose another 15-20lbs by the time we go to visit our AZ family in March. This should be totally do-able if I stick to the program. Ok, I calculated it and I need to drop 1.6 lbs a week to reach my 15 lb goal by mid March.

Crazy how the lbs rack up when you don't lose the baby weight after the first, and then decide to have a second.

Good for you! Loosing weight over the holidays is super hard so I'm sure you can reach your next goal. Short term goals are the best because you get that wonderful feeling of accomplishment when you make it, encouraging you to keep going.

I just had to tell you that you look wonderful though. You have a radiating smile and you look so happy. Weight has nothing to do with that. :)

It is cool to be able to read your blog again. I am very impressed with your "Toothless Dragon" costume. We LOVE that movie. In fact, Eli got it for Christmas. You did a GREAT job on that. Also, I have just been reading one of my friends blogs about weight loss. She has lost ALOT of weight in 6 months. She blogged her daily feelings and tallies. Anyway, thought you would want to see it. It is the Rachel & Brandon link under BYU-Idaho on my list.
