I am happy to say that Van has been behaving very well lately. Actually since I posted my "help me" post about his bad behavior, I haven't really had a problem with him. He's been listening very well and hasn't had too many problems talking back to me, or temper issues. Derek and I are on a better page for discipline, and things seem to be going well. I'm not exactly sure why the drastic change, but I am pleased. Just thought I would post this as an update.
I know this is not over and he will (some day in the near future) try to push the limits and drive us insane, but for now we are in a calm period, hopefully not the calm before the storm. :)
Side story: Van is so cute. He has been daily adding into his prayers, "...please bless that we can go on vacation and see cousins..." This daily reminder makes it feel as if time is SLOWLY passing by. I long for the day that I can tell him that we are going to leave for vacation. He will be so excited.

Oh we are so excited and will have to start praying for the same so the time will go faster.
So glad that Van is going through a good behavior stage. I'm sure you're right that this road will have ups and downs, but just remember that those rough patches don't last forever.
