Paintings

I thought I would save showing my artwork from this term until the end (basically I was just too lazy to take pictures of them throughout the term). Ok, really there's one more that I'm working on these next 2 weeks, but that one will follow later. Well, here they are....

We first started out with a still life. I had a gourd on a crumpled paper bag. We had to zoom in on each of the following paintings. All 3 are oil on paper, 22" X 30".

Black and white (we had to make the black out of colors--that was cool)

Complimentary colors (meaning opposite on the color wheel) I used orange and blue. (the cool orange and cool blue I used made an olive tone when mixed)

We got to choose what colors for the 3rd. Mine are blue, green, and yellow.

The next 2 are from collages that we had to make first. (I don't particularly love making collages). Both are oil on canvas, 16" X 20".
I was happier with this one....I liked how the rocks turned out, they have a lot of volume.

Next, a series that we were able to choose what we wanted to work on. I was working on being looser with my brush strokes. All 3 are oil on canvas, 16" X 20".

Someday you're going to be famous and all of us on here will be like "Yeah, we've known her FOREVER!"

Your art is beautiful.

Thank you so much!!

I'm sad to say that I'm not taking a painting class next quarter (my last term in school) because they aren't offering it. It has dawned on me that I have so much to learn and no more teachers to help me get there. :(
