Battling the Bulge....and some News

So here's my weight loss update....I had set a goal for myself of 15-20 lbs by the time we leave for spring break (in a few days), which was going right on track until the weather turned ugly. The past few weeks has been too yucky to go for long walks with the boys, so my weight loss slowed a bit. I am still pleased with what I've lost and kept off.

I was able to lose 10 more lbs, bringing my total up to 25 lbs! I am totally happy with that. I am hoping to continue on this slow and steady weight loss, hopefully that way I will be able to keep it all off (of course that's until I get pregnant again).

I'm still wanting to lose another 30ish lbs. but I will continue to set realistic goals. Ok, here's my next goal: to lose another 10-15lbs by the end of the next term. Hopefully I will be able to continue working out on a regular basis.

(Hangs head low).....Ok, so I have some news (not totally wanted, but good for my family): I have a job. Derek had been looking for a few months without much luck, so I started to look for teller jobs, which is what I did before being a mom and going back to school. Of course the moment I look I find something (that's the way it works, right?). Bad news is I have to work (that sounds awful that I don't want to work, but I want to be a stay-at-home mom more!), but the good news is that it's good pay, part time hours, and only 4 (short) blocks away from my house: so I will be able to walk there! And it's not even a teller job; I will be a "greeter" for the bank. Basically I will stand at one of the 2 doors and direct people on where to go (and it pays better than my last teller job--go figure!).

Wahoo on meeting your weight loss goals! Slow and steady is the way to do it, and keep it off. And don't hang your head about working!!! It is wonderful that something so perfect has come your way and I'm sure it will work out for Derek soon. It took David nine months to get a job.

I'm glad you found a job! Which bank is it with?

It's with Rivermark Community CU. They just re-built it, it's really nice.
