Here is the last posting about art until the end of next term (my final term!).
First, here's some jewelry that I made (camera phone, sorry pics are bad--these are way cooler than they look in these bad pics).
At the D.I. I found this for $1. I had been looking for something like this for a while and I was actually hunting in the frames so I could make this. Now I can hang all of the jewelry I just made: score!
Ok, here's my final painting. It's a culmination from the last series I did. I was using the style from the last paintings: chiaroscuro, painterly brush strokes (blah blah blah). However, I wanted to adapt the style in a modern way as well as incorporate my family into it. These aren't the best pics of it, but you get the idea.
I wanted to reduce some of the glare, so I darkened this pic a bit

Hey Katie-do you think you should go into the jewelry making business? Maybe that store across the st would put your stuff on consignment. And Shawna too.
That's what I said to Shawna! I would love that, I was thinking maybe I would start by selling stuff online....we'll see how that works out.
