House

Absentee blogger here. No I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, been working hard on the house. Seems like every day we inch closer to finishing. Today was a huge one, we had 4 trees taken out in the front and another 2 in the back. That was pricey, but there was a Groupon deal that made it do-able for us so we couldn't pass it up. I have come across the before pics of our house and thought I could at least post the ones of the yard. I'm still ever working on the inside, but the outside is pretty much not going to change for a while.
Okay, while I'm at it, I'm going to post some before and afters of other rooms too.

Lets start with the front:
Before:

You can see the horrible tree at our entry, blocking the only front window we have.

After:
Can you imagine there were 4 more trees here?

 Here's the Backyard:
Before (that horrendous tree, nicknamed the spider tree):
Another view of the back:
After (minus the spider tree--stump in foreground):

Not much to be said about the yards, still not finished (obviously) but better without the trees taking up so much space. The pictures don't even do it justice, it is remarkably better and much more open!

Here's some of my interior changes:
Entry before:
Ugh, it was SO dark before

Entry after:

Boys room before:
(the only curtains I kept, they are totally retro cool, still thinking of a use for the fabric, maybe pillows?)

Boys room after:

Most of you know me and know I paint (meaning art, not houses), so NO these interior pictures are not complete I have yet to hang ANY artworks up. I have this huge empty house with lots of walls to hang pictures on, but since I haven't finished all the wall painting, I feel that I can't move on to hanging pictures yet. I'm taking baby steps.

More finished pictures to come....... (the main bathroom is just a couple steps from being finished, then we will start inviting people over. Gotta have at least one finished bathroom for visitors, right?)
