Van Logic

Derek and Van were playing swords. When they were done Van was sitting in front of our tv cabinet looking at his reflection in the glass. He picked his sword up and held it like a phone (pic above). Derek did the same:

Dad: Hello Van. How are you?
Van: Three years old.
(He obviously thought he heard: how OLD are you?)

Dad: Where are you?
Van: California
(Got me? We have been there, but don't know why he continues to talk about it.)

Dad: Where do you live?
Van: The museum
(Whenever he's asked where he would like to go for the day it's always the Children's Museum, so I'm sure he would like to live there.)

Dad: Where does Grandma live?
Van: College
(We talk about College a lot, cause Mom and Dad go to college. He is VERY interested and excited about one day going to school and tries to convince us often that we should take him with us.)

Dad: Where do our Cousins live?
Van: Arizon-ya
(This one is correct, besides the mispronunciation.)
