Stir Crazy!!

We only made it 4 days at home before we cracked and had to get out. Van was feeling good and he's been constantly asking about going to a park, so we walked to our favorite park. Van did really well listening to us reminding him not to run. We had fun and the boys got nice and dirty. I brought the camera and got some funny shots.

Here's the troops heading out. Our neighborhood is so beautiful.

Weston was playing on the baseball field and face-planted into the dirt and ended up with a nice raspberry on his forehead. He's tough--barely cried and then started kicking around the soccer ball.

Van was also playing on the baseball field. He was super interested in the dirt and got filthy. This is his reaction to the dirt on his clothes, "oh well."

Weston has been super funny with his water bottle lately. He will drink some then spit it out and laugh. He does it over and over until his clothes are soaked (real funny Weston). This second pic is of him fake coughing. Its hilarious, he forces a fake cough out-key word: force. He's freaked me out on several occasions because it sounds like hes choking.

Did I mention this child is fearless? There is a huge monster slide at this park that has some magical pull that attracts small children, or maybe just my small child. Funniest of all is marked on the side of the slide is "Caution not recommended for small children."

The boys swinging. For the longest time Van wouldn't ride on the bucket swings. From like age 2-3 it was only big kid swings, but lately bucket swings are all he wants to ride on. Silly boy... but now we can push him higher.

Van climbing the huge slide and playing on the merry-go-round. This park has all the super fun things that I longed for as a child. A merry-go-round was a specialty, as were teeter totters (which this park has also).

There are always dogs off leash at this park, I LOVE this. Then I don't feel like a creap having our dog off leash. There was a family with two dred-locked poodles and their litter of puppies. Weston kept trying to climb in the kiddie pool that contained the puppies, so they allowed us to put him in. He loved it and was super gentle with the pups. I have several more adorable pics of this (if anyone is interested).

Van was really interested in the dirt and how he could make the white line mix in to the surrounding dirt (sorry to whoever has to re-line the field).

Derek spinning Wes around. He was cracking up. My cute boys.

***The unseen: this park has a nice open field where frisbee golfers like to play some sort of frisbee football. The strange part is that it's as if there is a dress code: the less clothes the better. What's up with that? First time we came to this park, I felt over dressed. Thankfully its a large park, so there's enough space for the half naked frisbee-ers and the fully clothed park-goers. :)

That slide looks AWESOME! It is nice that you have such a good park close to your place. I remember ultimate frisbee being big amongst some people in Nebraska. I can't say I remember the dress code being so "less is more".
