Van's Marks

Van was drawing this morning and I was pretty impressed with the outcome and his explanation. He told me it's a picture of an orange race track, blue cars and a brown stop sign. I must say this is his most recognizable picture to date. Well, he did draw a pic of a person, but only when I asked him to and I kept probing him further: now draw the eyes, arms, legs, etc.

Here's a little update on Van:

42 1/4 in.

36 lbs

He's getting so smart and tall I can hardly believe it, what happened to my little boy? He is such a sweet and kind boy who always says I love you and gives hugs and kisses....well, that is until his mood changes and he throws a huge tantrum. But after time-out he is ready to say "I'm sorry for yelling and screaming" and move on with the day. He's a silly goof who loves to make his brother laugh. He loves church, especially nursery and can't wait til he can go to school. We've been talking about school a lot around here. His preschool sent us a "Me book" that we've been working on, that he will be able to share in his class. We are happy he will be able to better learn how to socialize with other kids his age.

Before Preschool, the next big thing for Van is an upcoming surgery to have his tonsils and adnoids removed (for his sleep apnea-in case you weren't aware). We will let you know how everything goes. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
